Baked French Toast

6 eggs
1 cup milk
2 cups half and half (1 pint)
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 large or 2 small French bread sliced into 1″ thick slices

Butter 9×13 or smaller HEAVILY . Lay bread slices in pan. ( 2 layers)
Mix first 6 ingredients and pour over bread. 
Let sit overnight covered in fridge.

1 stick butter - unsalted
1 cup brown sugar
2 Tbs dark Karo syrup
1 cup pecans (chopped)

Mix sugars with softened butter.
Add nuts and bread over slices.
Bake 350° apx. 40 minutes until light and fluffy.
Serve with maple syrup
